In the early hours of 4th November 2015 morning, the Government of India achieved a major landmark when record solar power tariff of Rs 4.63 per unit was achieved breaching the Rs 5/- per unit barrier. This achievement was made possible, through a special ‘electronic tender-cum-reverse auction process’ conducted by NTPC using the portal of TCIL, a licensed Service Provider of ElectronicTender.
